Connemara and Aran Island Food Tours

Away from city life, you can go on a food exploration through Connemara and the Aran Islands.

Experience the sounds, sights and tastes of Connemara and the Aran Islands as we guide you through one of the most natural regions of Ireland. Taking the Wild Atlantic Way out of Galway, you will visit an Abalone Farm and sample produce from this most unique of shellfish.   Offering panoramic views of Galway Bay, Connemara, and the Cliffs of Moher, the 8 minute Aer Arann flight to Inis Mór, the largest of the Islands will form the next part of your journey. Gabriel of Aran Goat's Cheese will introduce you to his herd of goats and take you through the process of making his award winning product before sampling and experiencing the range for yourself.  A scenic coastal drive to the village of Killmurvey and the home of Tigh Nan Phaddy follows, where you will be served a choice of lunch including the Aran Goat's cheese. On your return to the airport, a 20 minute stop at Gearoid's Cafeé in Kilronan will allow you to sample a selection of his home baked cakes with coffee and do some souvenir shopping if you so wish! The final stop off this unique food exploration tour will be at the Independent brewery where Kevin and his team brew a range of beer inspired by the sea and marine life of Connemara.  A taste of Connemara and Aran that will stay with you forever!
